После того, как лесные пожары уничтожили 18 миллионов гектаров земли, а также унесли жизни одного миллиарда животных и нескольких десятков людей, на помощь пришёл дождь. Однако вскоре и он превратился в катастрофу.
Опасный для всего живого шторм-суперъячейка обрушился на Квинсленд, Австралия, 300-миллиметровыми дождями.
Циклон, пришедший в Австралию, принёс обильные ливни, которые спровоцировали наводнение.
В итоге в Квинсленде за совсем короткий промежуток времени выпало около 300 мм осадков, что значительно превышает месячную норму.
